The iPhone 5 Bumper Cases is hot and sleek and has taken the Tablet PC industry by storm. Challenging iPad 2 comes another tablet - the Adam from Notion Ink. Notion Ink Adam resulted out of collaboration between six IITians and an MBA grad, who together formed the company Cupertino.
Adam has almost the same specifications as the iPhone 5 Hard Cases and is about to hit the market soon, in the month of June to be precise. It will first be launched in the US followed with Europe and India. What this means is that, come June and anyone out to buy a tablet PC will have one more choice before they actually invest their money. The Adam was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show 2010 and will also be seen at the upcoming Mobile World Congress too.
Based on the Android platform, Adam features the nVidia Tegra processor and a pixelQi screen that proves to be immensely economical and beats the Apple iPad 2's boastful battery life as well. The Tegra chip is fast and can handle HD content (1080p) which is better than the iPhone 5 Crystal Cases which can handle only 576p/480p.
The Adam also has a front camera, which works great for video chats and webinars. It also has a full flash support, which definitely gives it an added advantage against the iPhone 5 Silicone Cases.
The company plans to launch two versions of the Notion Ink Adam - one with a thickness of 12.9 mm and another that is just 11.6 mm thick. It's interesting to note that while the two versions will have a difference in their thickness, both of them will have the same screen sizes.
However, there's one area where the Adam may be found to be on a back footing, and it is its lacking of a full fledged application store like iPhone 5 Leather Cases. Notion Ink is aware of the need for Adam to have an enthusiastic community of developers who would back the tablet with quality applications. To fill this need, Notion Ink is embarking on a developer challenge with no less than a million dollars up at stake. Something that is sure to catch the attention of application of developers towards Adam.
Right now, lets wait to hear more about the Notion Ink Adam at the Mobile World Congress.
