Corpus Christi
corpus christi hotels was founded in 1839 by Colonel Henry Lawrence Kinney as Kinney's Trading Post, or Kinney's Ranch, a small trading post to market supplies to some Mexican revolutionary army camped about 25 miles (40 km) west.[6] In July 1845, U.S. troops under General Zachary Taylor setup camp there when preparing for war with Mexico, where they remained until March 1846. Then about a year later the city was named Corpus Christi and was incorporated on September 9, 1852.[7] The Port of Corpus Christi was opened in 1926 and the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station was commissioned in 1941.[6]

After a two hour drive from San Antonio to Corpus Christi I had been a little surprised to locate around 10 miles of only oil refineries. Only through the coast corpus christi hotels was there something that looked interesting. I visited a couple of the more interesting sites in Corpus Christi, that are conveniently right next to one another.
